5pm - 8pm - Quivey's Grove - Ale Asylum Fish Fry - Join Ale Asylum for a "Madison Craft Beer Week" kickoff fish fry at historic Quivey's Grove. Quivey's will have four different Ale Asylum selections on tap and will have special pricing on 12oz. glasses and pitchers of each. There will also be a sampler set of all four beers (4oz. each) available. Ale Asylum representatives will also be on hand to answer all your beer/brewery related questions.

There will be a mystery craft tap, guess the beer and be entered into the drawing to win fabulous prizes. Let's see if you have what it takes to be the ultimate beer aficionado! We will also be featuring a fun night of drinking some of Wisconsin's great brews. A representative from Central Waters will be on-hand to answer all of the beer questions as well as to talk about the great beer they brew.
8:30pm - 11:30pm - Quaker Steak and Lube (Middleton) - Lake Louie Beer & Music - Come meet Tom Porter, owner and founder of Lake Louie Brewing Company. We will have five Lake Louie beers on tap for the night and live music from Screaming Gene and the Lake Louie Growlers. Tom will be sitting in and playing some songs with his namesake group.

7:30am-1pm - Stalzy's Deli - Tyranena 3-Course Beer Breakfast - Join Tyranena and Stalzy's Deli for a 3-Course Beer Breakfast. We were inspired by the tradition in Germany known as "Second Breakfast", a meal of sausage, pretzels and beers. Dive in and kick off Madison Craft Beer Week, get a bite to eat before you head to the farmer's ...market or maybe you need something to help you from the night before. Breakfast includes 3 perfectly paired courses of breakfast delights and Tyranena beers. You can start your meal anytime from 7:30 am - 1 pm. Conrad Tufte, the esteemed Tyranena Beer Ambassador, will be available to answer questions throughout the morning. Tickets are available April 16th for $17 or $19 at the door the day of. Just stop into Stalzy's to purchase a ticket. BEER, IT'S WHAT'S FOR BREAKFAST!
9am - 2am - The Old Fashioned - Mystery Beer Buckets - 5 Beers for $5 - We will be hand selecting five different great Wisconsin bottled beers all loaded in a bucket with ice for only $5.00. All buckets are pre-built which makes it a mystery to all!

11am - Close - Old Chicago - Cinco de Mayo - Celebrate Cinco the OC way! We will have eight Mexican beers available for you purists, but are also featuring some great local craft brews as well, including the tapping of Capital Dark Dopplebock @ 3pm. Stop in and enjoy a great beer on our patio!!
12pm - Dusk - The Brass Ring - Brass Ring Grill Out - The Brass Ring will be hosting a summer grill out with Ale Asylum beer from noon till dusk. Come join us on the patio and enjoy all sorts of summer grilling fair. We'll have plenty of eats and two types of Ale Asylum beer, all right on the patio. Come rain or shine as we can move indoors if mother nature gets nasty. There will be special beer pricing and swag giveaways throughout the afternoon.
1pm - 5pm - The Great Dane (Downtown) - Tour de Dane Beer Bus - $30 includes a luxury double-decker coach tour to all four Madison Great Danes hosted by our head Brewer Eric Brusewitz. 2pm-6pm - Kick-Off Celebration and Cask Ale Festival - Join Madison Craft Beer Week for the start of the Week! This year's celebration takes us to Pooley's on Madison's East Side (5441 High Crossing Blvd). Featuring the musical stylings of Classical Revolution and a beer festival featuring a dozen cask ale offerings from Craft Beer Week participants, it will be an enjoyable afternoon get-together. Wristbands for unlimited sampling are $25 in advance, $30 at the door. You will also have the opportunity to purchase beer by the half ($4) or full pint ($5), if you just want to stop in and say hello. The celebration will begin promptly at 2pm; Classical Revolution is providing a Brass Quintet that will knock your lederhosen off with German drinking songs and polka arrangements. Join Nate Peck, Lead Brewer from Sand Creek Brewing Company as he pours some unique cask conditioned beers along with some unique twists on some old favorites. Great beer, great cigar’s and great munchies!
7pm - Close - The Malt House - Hop Rockets in the Tallgrass - Join us as we run two different Tallgrass brews through "hop rockets", small inline containers designed to add fresh hop (or other) flavor to draft beer. This event is cosponsored by Gorst Valley Hops. Tallgrass reps will be here from Manhattan, Kansas to show off two of their beers, 8-bit Pale Ale and Buffalo Sweat Stout. The 8-bit will be served through a hop rocket filled with fresh Gorst Valley hops. The stout will be served through a hop rocket loaded with cocoa and chilies. It's going to be FUN! Blast-off time is 7PM.
7pm - Close - Tipsy Cow - An Evening with Sam - Who's Sam, you ask? Well Sam Adams of course! An evening with Sam is sure to whet your whistle. 11am - Close - Dexter's Pub - A Little Bit of Founders - We will have 8 to 10 taps from Founders with the highlight being a tapping of Better Half at 3pm! The Better Half is an old ale brewed with Molasses and aged in Maple Syrup Bourbon Barrels!
12pm - 3pm - Vintage Brewing Co (Whitney Way) - Great Taste Beer Lunch - You waited in line all night- you must be hungry! Show your Great Taste of the Midwest ticket for a free pint of VBC beer or soda with your lunch (limit one free pint per person with lunch purchase).
3pm - 7pm - Brasserie V - A Special Big Beer Tasting - We will be offering a flight of five unique and hard to find big beers. Three beers from the Belgium Brewery Malheur - the champagne like Biere Brut Reserve and Bier Brut Noir, and on tap the Malheur 12. Also on tap, the 12.9% ABV, North Coast Grand Cru, and finally a unique sour beer from New Holland, Blue Sunday. We will do a special tasting from 3-4pm before we open for those who want to arrive early at 3pm and talk about the beers in more detail. From 4pm to 7pm, you will be able to purchase a flight of all five to try.
5pm - 7pm - Brickhouse BBQ - Central Waters Beer Dinner - Chef Brett Myrland and the Brickhouse BBQ team craft a unique beer dinner by utilizing spent bourbon barrels used at Central Waters brewery for aging their bourbon barrel beer lineup to smoke meats and more for this one-of-a-kind Brewery to Table event! 7pm - 10pm - Merchant - Six Point Brewery (Brooklyn, NY) Dinner - Six Point Brewery (Brooklyn, NY) and Merchant are teaming up for a four-course beer dinner to kick off Madison Craft Beer Week 2012. Merchant Co-Owner Patrick Sweeney and Six Point's Shane Welch go back several years, where they worked at The Angelic Brewing Co. together; an establishment that fostered the ideas such as Six Point, Ale Asylum, Merchant and numerous others. Merchant's chef, Jon Nodler, will be preparing a four-course meal inspired by four of Six Point's brews. Each course will be paired with a beer and there will be tasting in between courses. Reservations can be made at www.merchantmadison.com We are opening the dinner up for 60 people initially. Be sure and select 7:00pm for your reservation time. Tickets are $45 per person, or $80 for two. This will be a dinner not to be missed. We look forward to a long and healthy relationship with Six Point Brewery, and we welcome them to the Madison market.

We will start at the Come Back Inn at 5:30 and work our way up to Brocach Irish Pub on the Capital Square. We will finish around 7:30, arriving at Brocach on the Square at 6:30pm, though folks are welcome to stick around afterward! The tour is free, but drinks are Buy Your Own Beer. Space is limited. 6pm - 11pm - The Malt House - Follow Your Folly: Lips of Faith Night - Treat your lips to some "Lips of Faith"! Featuring Cocoa Molé, Bière de Mars and Prickly Passion Saison. Meet New Belgium brewery reps, and learn why the Lips of Faith beers are raising an army of faithful followers. Bière de Mars: Brewed with barley, oats and wheat malt, Biere de Mars' earthy tones of ripe mango and lemon verbena lead into a refreshingly sour flash across the palate. Cocoa Mole: Say Hola to a spiced up ale full of cocoa and ancho, guajillo, chipotle peppers. But don’t fear the heat, because plenty of caramel and chocolate malts bring a smooth, complex flavor to our Cocoa Molé. Scents of cinnamon when poured will have you saying, “¡Olé for molé!” Prickly Passion Saison: The combination of passion fruit and prickly pear juices with the tropical esters of a traditionally earthy Saison yeast create a wonderfully broad and reaching mango-like character. Ostentatiously amber, this Prickly Passion Saison is sure to provoke the palate.
6pm - 10pm - The Bayou - Mother Shuckin' Monday - Abita Brewing Co. and The Bayou present an evening of fresh shucked oysters and Abita Beer. The Bayou will be serving up a variety of fresh oysters from around the country along with eight Abita Beers on tap, including some of their rare Select Series beers. Abita Representatives will be on hand to answer any questions. Kick the week off right with a New Orleans tradition, oysters and Abita Beer. The first 25 through the door will receive a free Abita pint glass.
7pm - 9pm - Up North Pub - Summit Meet the Brewer - We will have Summit Summer Ale and Summit Unchained Dunkel Weizen samples and a meet and greet with the brewer Joe.

7pm - 10pm - Old Chicago - Port Huron Draft Takeover - Try the brews of Wisconsin's newest brewery!! Port Huron's Brewery Chief Tanner Brethorst will be on hand starting at 7pm to talk craft beers. Port Huron's beers will "take over" our draft lines for the day--try a pint, or a flight of all four! Anticipated brews are Honey Blonde, Hefe Weizen, Amber Alt and Porter.

We will put up all four of their beers--try a pint of each or a flight of four, 4 oz samples for $4.49. Brewery representatives will be on hand from 6pm - 8pm to talk with you one-on-one and answer all your beer questions. Try one of our great food pairings to match up with each of their brews.

4pm - 7pm - Chico's Villa Tap - Chico's Fish Fry - Ale Asylum is proud to partner with its soon-to-be neighbor, Chico's Villa Tap, for one of the area's best fish fries. Ale Asylum will be there early (4-7pm) as this great neighborhood bar is packed every Friday for great fish. There may be a wait, but Chico will add a second tap line of Ale Asylum beer so you can satiate your taste buds until your table is ready. The wait will be worth it, and with Ale Asylum beer, even more enjoyable.

We use Capitol Amber in our beer batter and serve three haddock fillets with choice of potato, Cole slaw, tartar and lemon wedge. 4pm - 7pm - Brickhouse BBQ - New Glarus & Leinie's - New Glarus and Leinenkugel's will be featured on our taps with some of Leinie's craft-focused beers and some New Glarus specialties!
4pm-8pm - Olin Park - Isthmus A La Carts - Isthmus is serving up Isthmus a la Carts, the first Madison-area food cart festival. Madison’s diversity of food cart vendors, culture of foodies and adventurous eaters will all be served in this flavor fest! Leave work early and come hungry! Isthmus is lining up some of Madison’s finest food carts including - Caracas Empanadas, Fib’s, Blowing Smoke, Banzo Madison and many more. The carts will offer sample size portions of their fabulous fare, so patrons can try lots of local flavors. Your ticket gets you in the gate to try as much as you’d like. What’s a food fest without beer? Beverages will be available from Leinekugel’s and Pepsi. Isthmus is pleased to partner with Madison Magnet, a local non-profit young professionals group, that will serve beverages and share in the proceeds. 1pm - 4pm - Vintage Brewing Company (Whitney Way) - Big Barrel Tararrel!- Barrel-aged beer fans, this is the event for you! We’ll be serving up tastes of our own barrel-aged beers, as well as barrel-aged beers from Central Waters, O’so, Pearl Street Brewery, The Great Dane, Capital Brewery, and more! Cost is per taste. Come early- these beers are bound to go quickly!
2pm - The Malt House - Monks in a Barrel - Sample and compare five rare barrel-aged La Trappe Quadrupels alongside the unoaked version. Explore how barrel aging can add even more complexity to what is already one of the most sumptuous beer styles available. Participants will receive a complementary La Trappe glass, filled with Quad upon completion of the sampling. Join Adam Schulte of Artisanal Imports for this guided sampling of rare Trappist abbey ales. Advance ticket purchase suggested. $20 in advance; $25 day of event.
2pm - ?? - Dexter's Pub - Bell's Circus - Bell's will be back again for a tap takeover at Dexter's Pub this year for Madison Craft Beer Week, but with a Bell's twist! Small beer garden with circus theme, games, prizes and even a dunk tank? Inside will be 15 Bell's taps with, I am sure, something a little odd and crazy!

We'll be sampling Millstream's best and some of our other favs, including a surprise or two. $5 admission fee will be donated to Gilda's Club of Madison. 7pm - 10pm - Sprecher Restaurant & Pub - Black Bavarian Dinner - The Award-Winning Sprecher Black Bavarian was named one of Men's Magazine's 2012 "24 Best Beers in America" and we want to throw a dinner in its honor!
